NIO’s New Showroom is a Repurposed Courtyard House!

Bringing the glory of indoor-outdoor living back to this repurposed structure, LukStudio transforms a standalone courtyard house into a showroom for an electric car brand. Prioritising site-specific design, the firm strives to reconnect users to culture and context. Originally built as an exhibition space in 2015, three pitched roofs and two inner courtyards find composition in the double-height structure. When modified into a commercial store, the outdoor courts gave way to enclosed volumes, for increased interior space.
