Spaces speak. Whether you distort scale, innovate form or simply accentuate space, the communiqué that you enjoy with the spaces that you inhabit, temporarily or otherwise, tend to leave an impact on you; of course, the lasting ones become innate influencers, but that is a story apart. Check out our stories this week – referencing brutalist utopias is the Qatar Court House; creating creature comforts in wilderness are the Bigwin Island lodges; bringing to life a traditional Japanese village street is the Nozomi Sushi Bar in Spain; and reliving history is the restored heritage Habibullah Estate in Lucknow.

While each of these projects converse on different planes of the psyche, they leave an indelible impact – nuances that are carried through in later years – consciously or subconsciously.

Enjoy the read and of course, the spaces!

Warmly,

Savitha Hira
