XAPO – a physical space for a digital bank

Lagranja studio repurposes a historic building to house the first physical HQ for XAPO (pronounced ‘Sapo’) – a company that provides online banking services for cryptocurrencies. XAPO is situated inside old army barracks in the heart of Gibraltar’s old centre, in the shadow of its famous rock. The rear of the structure is adjoined to the remnants of the original city walls and defence towers, while the front facade faces Grand Casemates Square - a lively social hub with many outdoor bars and restaurants.
