Netherlands-based Tjep Architectural Studio creates a unique public space - Nieuw Waterlandplein Podium that transforms between an ornamental installation and modern ampitheatre for residents of Amsterdam-North. Commissioned by Ymere as a part of their redevelopment of Nieuw Waterlandplein in Amsterdam-North, this project was to develop a meeting space and stage for local inhabitants. “We thought that when a podium is not being used it creates an empty, desolate feeling.
