This LEED Gold-certified project in Laval demonstrates climate-conscious urban design through hydrology, landscape, and adaptive reuse of a former petrochemical plant. At Espace citoyen des Confluents (The Confluents Citizen Space) in Laval, Québec, the ground is treated as an active system that organises water, movement, and occupation. Once forested and later converted to agricultural land, this 13-acre site hosted a BASF petrochemical facility during the 1970s and 1980s.
