The retail experience has gradually seen a sea-change. Experiential spaces are the call of the day and storytelling underlies brand positioning. In this scenario, design plays a fundamental role. Two brands, the historic Harrod’s and telecommunications neonate Oppo are examples that we showcase this week. The Harrod’s men’s shoes departmental in London and Oppo’s flagship in Guangzhou speak of social interface as customary to customer engagement and the interiors build their merchandise around this premise. Do check out both stories. The latter especially for its façade as well, which is a technological interpretation of local craftsmanship as a twist to the vernacular architecture of the city.
