8DesignWorks organises a compact urban home around a central void to introduce light, air, and connectivity within a constrained site. Located on a compact 19 × 60 feet north-facing plot in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, India, the house responds to a site constrained by built mass on three sides. Another premeditating factor is that the region experiences prolonged periods of intense heat, with summer temperatures reaching up to 49°C.
