The house with a dynamically twisting roof

Wallmakers’ latest project in Kerala is a modest, unassuming two-storey home, which at close quarters, evinces responsible architectural lessons in addition to rustic charm… The design and final construct of the house stem from a few considerations, like preserving the huge Jackfruit tree on-site, creating common spaces that are inclusive while ensuring privacy, and mainly, an underlying principle of building responsibly. The architectural vocabulary stems from the compound wall curving protectively around the tree and twisting effortlessly to continue into the roof.
