Ar. B. V. Doshi is 2018 Pritzker Laureate| The science in the art of architecture| Is design duality the ultimate answer to urban space crunch?

It is a moment of pride for the nation and especially for the Architectural community. An absolutely grounded veteran architect has brought home the Pritzker Prize – the highest honour in the field. Architect Balkrishna Doshi renowned for his simple yet poetic architecture that goes beyond the sublime to impact pragmatic societal leanings is the 2018 Pritzker laureate and the first Indian architect to be bestowed this honour. Our salutations to him. We have a small tribute to him in this issue.

This week, the focus is on the art of design; how ingenuity plays a part in culling out experiential design.
