Design for the social media generation| Interactive technology in Tokyo fine dine for just 8| Cushions for the uber cool makeover

[ad_1]

Dear IAnDians,

The social media scene is as volatile as it is dynamic. It seems to have permeated the very being of our existence. Weaving social media propagation in design, design studio, Superfusionlab have created the perfect ambience in a juice bar at a mall in Hangzhou, China, where low-hung, colour-changing fabric cones effect a psychedelic aura apt for selfies.

Taking technology much farther is the specialty restaurant in Ginza, Tokyo that can seat just 8 people per day to a full course meal, where elements from the meal come alive in a multisensory dining experience.

And at the other end of the spectrum is the beauty of handcrafted. Crochet is put to dynamic use by Choi+Shine Architects as they create interactive public installations for iLight Festival at Singapore.

It’s the South-East Asia on focus this week! Enjoy the absolutely intriguing projects and write in to us with your views.

Warmly,

Savitha Hira
