SALT Architects adopt discrete design interventions to complement the convivial and culinary lifestyle of a young family, whilst preserving the historical heritage of their humble 1973 modernist home… Situated in the beautiful town of Stellenbosch, South Africa, this single storey abode originally comprised a street-facing living wing and a sleeping wing behind, situated on a lower portion of the site so that one descends the thresholds from the public to private realms.
