How we all love to shop! Merchandise displays especially trigger an adrenaline high, irrespective of buying power and intention. In fact, retail design is perhaps the single-most influential lifestyle determinant. And it has gradually seen a shift in thought and impact. Behavioural insights coupled with glocal awareness have carved out a new definition, where the product rides on the experience. Crafting experiences thus become the story-drivers. We bring you two such projects this week. At one end is the uber luxurious lounge experience for luxury watch brands Cartier, Panerai and IWC; and on the other, is a small enterprise dealing in Indian bridal wear (our cover story). The concept and its execution here clearly walk away as the showstoppers of this interior design that celebrates craftsmanship. A must read.
